We are invested in you
Invested in helping customers reduce their energy bills
Now more than ever, households are spending more time at home and in most cases seeing their energy usage increase. Here at Nectr, we are invested in helping our customers become more energy efficient and investing back into the environment. For tips and solutions around energy efficiency, check out our Nectr Blog.
Investment in the environment
We know that many Australians are socially conscious and increasingly interested in reducing their carbon footprint.
The Nectr GreenPower plan displaces 100% of your household’s electricity usage with certified renewable energy that have zero net greenhouse gas emissions. As well as reducing your impact on the environment, by becoming part of the GreenPower community, you will be helping to support Australia’s renewable energy sector. That’s because the bulk of the premiums you pay for GreenPower go directly back to the GreenPower certified electricity generators.
Further, as part of our commitment to a renewable energy future, our owner is investing in the Barcaldine (Queensland) and Bannerton (Victoria) solar farms. They are also focussed on expanding their solar farm investments and plan to build two new solar farms in NSW. To follow their progress with this follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
For our 100% carbon offset plan, Nectr Friends Clean we are currently evaluating a number of local and international projects to source carbon emissions reduction units. We’ll use these units to offset the carbon emissions associated with our customers’ Nectr Friends Clean electricity plans.
The projects we’re evaluating are eligible to be accepted under the Commonwealth Government Climate Active program. This is important to us because Nectr is currently in the process of obtaining Carbon Neutral accreditation for its Nectr Friends Clean electricity plans under the Commonwealth Government Climate Active program.
